I am so blessed to live on the North Shore of Lake Superior! The Lake is a daily inspiration for my work, and it is ever-changing! Although “Castle Danger” doesn’t have a post office, it is indeed where I live. Located not far from Gooseberry State Park, my environment offers a plethora of subject matter to paint! This is the shoreline where I live. The image is from a very cold, February morning, at sunrise. If you look in the background, you can see what are called, “frost clouds,” which happens when all the conditions are just right on a bitter winter morning! This particular painting is not for sale, but giclee prints and note cards are available. The prints are available on canvas or fine watercolor paper and range in price from $70 to $150 (plus tax and shipping); and the note cards are $5 each (plus tax and shipping).
